Hi, I’m Carrie – a family, portrait, and couples photographer based in Swift Current, Saskatchewan, capturing heartfelt stories across Regina, Saskatoon, and Calgary.
My journey started with a fascination for black and white images – the raw emotion, the timeless feel. Over the years, photography has become my way to connect deeply with people and preserve the moments that make us who we are. Whether it’s a couple’s laughter during golden hour, a mother’s quiet joy, or a child’s carefree grin – these are the stories I live to tell.
I’m an old soul who values emotion, authenticity, and connection. You won’t find stiff poses or forced smiles here – just honest, natural moments and lots of joy. Photography is my creative outlet, but it’s also my purpose. It’s how I empower others, encourage vulnerability, and celebrate the beauty in life’s imperfections.
While I’m based in Swift Current, I regularly travel to Regina, Saskatoon, and Calgary for sessions – and honestly, I love the excuse to explore new places with my camera in hand. Carrie was very accommodating and so talented. Carrie managed to get photos of us including our 3 dogs. Our photos turned out amazing and couldn’t be more grateful. One of our dogs recently passed away, the photos Carrie took were a wonderful memory of our dog, and she even took individual portraits of each of our fur babies. We have photos from this photoshoot hanging all over our home, and used the photos for our Christmas cards. - J

Carrie took photos of our family on an evening when our kids decided they were just not in the mood. They weren’t very cooperative, and not willing to stay in one place for long. Carrie was very patient and interactive with them. I wasn’t sure how the photos would turn out due to their reluctance to cooperate and be posed. I was so surprised when I saw how amazing they were! We’ve known Carrie for years and have welcomed her on many occasions to take a variety of photos ranging from couples photos, Maternity, Full family, Mother’s Day, and photos for Business advertising/ promotions, and more! What I love about Carrie is that she is professional and courteous. She makes you feel comfortable while shooting poses (you know the ones that feel super awkward but turn out amazing in the end) and capturing those “in the moment” ones. She really makes the photo shoot a fun process, which in turn makes for uniquely beautiful photos. We’ve been delighted to work with Carrie in the past and have her capture such important life events that we are able to reflect on for years to come.

When I'm at home in Swift Current, you can find me cooking something cheesy in the kitchen with an oldies playlist, or curled up with my dog and my handsome man watching something on Netflix (nothing uplifts me more than learning about how serial killers brains’ operate). My happiest place to be is at the dog park hanging out with my furry pals, or in a coffee shop with friends and deep conversation. I am inspired by the freshness of nature, joyful human emotions, and the in-between subtleties that can take your breath away.
